Kids Dress DIY Kit Gray

A handmade kit for an organic cotton children’s dress with an easy fit.
The edges of the material offer a pleasant accent.

The dress can be put together easily by sewing the 13 pieces of single-breadth fabric together. The kit contains pre-cut pieces, so there is no need for scissor work. Using a sewing machine will make the work faster, but sewing by hand is also possible. Newcomers to needle work may also enjoy making the dress with their children. Any piece of cloth can be switched with other materials to bring a unique design to the finish, so customer’s can enjoy making it according to your child’s liking.

Easy to wash, dry, and even iron.
The finish of the material is weaved without any gluing and is gentle to the touch for comfort of wear.

How to

  1. Check that all pieces of the kit are present. There should be eight long strips and two small pieces.

  2. Arrange the long strips in pairs, then join each pair together along one edge.

  3. You should now have four larger strips as shown.

  4. Place two of the strips side by side. Sew these together, leaving 7 cm at the top for the neck.

  5. Repeat for the other two strips to make the back.

  6. Gather the fabric at the shoulder and attach the small piece from behind as shown.

  7. Attach small pieces to both the front and back. Turn the cloth over and stitch together, leaving 9 cm armholes.

  8. Turn the cloth over again and add a triple hem to finish.

Note

• Finish rough edges with an overlocker or zigzag sewing machine to prevent fraying.
• The length can be adjusted to suit your child.
